History

The following is any history we have regarding the bridge's origins:

the Hermits. Fontana says the running tradition, which, when it was not yet established in the Venice home of the Catechumens, here was confined to a colony of prisoners 'Ottoman', known as the \Turchette,\ to lead them to the religion of Christ. It seems that the above-mentioned tradition has some foundation in truth, as in the book of \Houses of the Commissioner Dalla Vecchia,\ belonging to the Scuola Grande di S. Rocco, it was written that this brotherhood owned a house in the parish of St. Barnabas' Calle Longa, where he was the Turchette. \ They then face observation that the \Calle delle Turchette 'leads precisely in\ Calle long \of S. Barnabas, and that on the next homes scorgesi still carved the coat of arms of the brotherhood of St. Rocco. The \Foundation of Turchette\ is also called \Borgo\ to be close to the so-called \Borgo di S. Trovaso. \
